National Expungement Week Legislative Panel Discussion at Oakland Community College

National Expungement Week is a week of events across the U.S. that offers expungement and other forms of legal relief to some of the millions of Americans with criminal records. These records can restrict access to housing, employment, education, public assistance, and voting rights long after sentences have been served.

With that in mind,National Expungement Week events will offer as many services as possible to restore people’s rights.

Local Expungement Panel of legislators and victims of the system discuss and tell their stories about working toward getting criminal records expunged for millions throughout the U.S. for National Expungement Week 2019 at Oakland Community College.
