Michigan’s Cannabis Tax Grab – WTF?

In late 2025, Michigan legislative jackballs approved another skim of 24% wholesale tax on cannabis products as part of the state’s fiscal 2026 grab.

They also initiated new laws to protect their turf by Bills 5105 and 5107 throwing one back in jail and taking stuff through fofeiture.

It’s said they will raise a lot of money to fix the roads you’re not allowed to drive on because you have THC in your blood from yesterday’s bong rip of government purchased and regulated weed.

It’s going to raise $420 million anually they say. Pretty sure that’s a troll.

But wait there’s more…

If you do get pulled over driving on the roads you helped fixed with last night’s bong rip in your system and you appear to be impaired – you’ll have to pay the other troll at the other side of the bridge a lot of money. Michigan lawmakers looking to revive roadside drug testing.

But there is a fight going on.
